The book covers a sweeping global history that looks beyond European urban centers to show how slavery, colonialism, and war propelled the development of modern medicine.

CLS is delighted to host The Bach Society of Charleston as they present the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players. The players will be performing works by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber (1644-1704) that demonstrate the technique of scordatura.
