Maestro Matteo Fedeli is probably the only living violinist in the world that has played no fewer than 24 of Antonio Stradavari’s instruments, the acclaimed master, whose violins are considered the best stringed instruments ever made.
There are only 50 existing Stradavarius instruments in the world that demonstrate “perfect technical refinement, and the capacity to produce a pure, yet intense and powerful voice, which emphasizes an always ample sound having crystalline luminous character, capable of innumerable nuances.” All of these instruments are valued in the multiple millions of dollars.
The Charleston concerts will be part of Fedeli’s solo series, A Stradivarius for the People, accompanied by pianist Maestro Andrea Carcano. This formula is winning resounding success as listening to this music pairs the opportunity to touch the instrument and also listen to general and technical discussions directly from the voice of the protagonist, Matteo Fedeli. He also plays a series of concerts in Italy and all over the world accompanied by the finest orchestras.
