Shakespeare on the Steps for Piccolo

Now in its fourth year, and timed along with Charleston’s Piccolo Spoleto, CLS is honored to partner with CofC’s Department of Theatre and Dance to present Shakespeare on the Steps. Don’t miss this special Shakespearean performance that transforms the front steps at 164 King into a stage for a plein air, abbreviated performances of the Bard’s great works – always timed with Second Sunday so that the streets are closed, bring your friends (and your own chair) for a one-of-a-kind live theatre experience. We expect a large and lively standing crowd to turn out for this one-of-a-kind event— and hope you’ll join us, too!

Shakespeare on the Steps is a walk-up-and-watch performance that is free and open to the public! 

Please Note: Reserved seating is limited for participant families and guests only; all others are encouraged to BYO chair and enjoy the show.  Approximate 45-minute duration.
