Inspiring the Next Generation Through Big Ideas

Google, Nike, Lego, Disney, Tate’s – globally familiar brand names that all started from someone’s idea, and then that someone working hard to make a reality, and a success. Inspired by those around her, Dartmouth MBA grad Lowey Sichol has taken the concept of entrepreneurship to the next generation through her award-winning book series, From an Idea to, that inspires kids to think big and believe in their ideas, even from a very young age – the world’s first business biography for a younger audience. Having earned numerous accolades, and regular features on NBC, CBS, ABC and more, Lowey’s debut visit to Charleston will be a program for all ages (and perhaps a sneak peek at the next round of ‘idea’ books that are the works).

About Lowey Bundy Sichol

Lowey Bundy Sichol is an award-winning children’s author with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is a pioneer in teaching entrepreneurship and business to kids, inspiring the next generation to think big and believe in their ideas. Prior to writing children’s books, Lowey worked in brand management and then ran her own MBA case writing business for over a decade. Her award-winning entrepreneurship books for kids have earned numerous literary accolades, and Lowey spends much of the year speaking at elementary schools around the country. Titles include From an Idea to Disney, From an Idea to Nike, From an Idea to Google, From an Idea to LEGO (HarperCollins, 2019); Idea Makers: 15 Fearless Female Entrepreneurs (Chicago Review Press, 2022); Cookie Queen: How One Girl Started Tate’s Bake Shop (Random House, 2023). In addition to her books, Lowey creates innovative programs that help kids practice entrepreneurship and develop the skills necessary for success (LetMeFail.org, Kids Idea Tank). She also has developed a Giving Back Program that partners with corporations and brings free author visits and entrepreneurship books to students and teachers at Title 1 schools. Her community outreach efforts have impacted tens of thousands of children. Lowey has been featured on podcasts, NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, and The History Channel’s The Toys that Built America and her books and programs have launched a movement to bring entrepreneurship education into elementary and middle grade schools across the nation. Lowey lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband Adam, three children, and two big dogs.
