Convergence: The Saxophone and Piano

August 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$35.00

Visiting all the way from Italy, Caroline Leigh Halleck is no stranger to the Charleston music scene. Having performed for New Muse Concerts, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and the Remington Concert Series, Caroline returns to the Lowcountry with Greg Hankins, a collaborative pianist from the University of Georgia. A blend of soulful saxophone and melodic piano, the musical prose of their combined talents blurs the line of musical style and genre. A special performance at the Library Society will feature contemporary takes on 15th and 16th-century court songs, and original compositions by the duo. Join the Convergence in the enveloping acoustics of the Main Reading Room.
