Join the Charleston Symphony for an elevated musical experience in an intimate setting. Enjoy carefully curated Chamber Music from your beloved Charleston Symphony musicians up close and personal as they perform distinguished works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, and Strauss.
Beethoven is known for being the catalyst between the classical and romantic era. His innovative chord progressions as well as repeated themes throughout multiple movements are what make his writing so unique. Composed in 1801, Beethoven’s Serenade for Flute, Violin, and Viola was written specifically with these instruments in mind, instead of interchangeably. This was unusual for a composer like Beethoven who is not known for writing various works for flute. This one-of-a-kind piece will be performed by our esteemed CSO musicians in addition to works by Prokofiev and Strauss.
Tickets are $50.
