This fall the The Artist Collective presents a return of its Plein Air show to Charleston, but its first full show here at CLS. Join us to meet artists from all five of their locations, coming to Charleston for inspiration and to pursue their craft in a long-standing tradition of painting outdoors. After painting throughout downtown (perhaps a special sighting here in our parterre garden), the day culminates with a presentation of all the artwork on view here in our Main Reading Room. The following morning, additional works from the featured artists as well as other creators will be added, until sold out!
About the Artist Collective
Since the Collective’s inception over a decade ago, it has spread from Charleston across the South, to Atlanta, Nashville, DC and Palm Beach. Founded by Allison Williamson, a nationally respected authority on the exhibition of original art, the Artist Artist Collective provides an platform for local artists to grow their potential and to provide collectors, young or experienced, access to original affordable art while giving back to Charleston area non-profits and organizations. Collectives are significant to the Artists’ practice by providing a vehicle for combining inspiration, ideals and approaches.
